What GamePunk is

GamePunk compares game prices across a number of stores, and also compares prices on gift cards and subscriptions like Xbox Game Pass. There's no account to create and no sign-in — every page on this site is available to anyone who visits it.

Information we collect

GamePunk does not have any forms, accounts, or sign-ups that collect personal information. When you search, what you type is sent to our server to find matching games. If a search finds no exact match, we keep a count of how often that search text was used, so we can improve spelling and nickname matching. That count isn't linked to you, your IP address or your device.

Like most websites, the server that hosts GamePunk logs basic technical information for requests it receives — for technical troubleshooting, performance monitoring and traffic analytics. This data is anonymized and not linked to individual users.

Deal clicks and affiliate sales

Many of the store links on GamePunk are affiliate links: if you buy something after clicking one, the store may pay GamePunk a commission, at no extra cost to you. When you click a deal, we record which deal it was, when, where it appeared in the price list and the price we showed. We give each click a random reference number. It isn't based on anything about you, and we don't store your IP address, browser details or any session or account with it.

For stores we work with through an affiliate network (Awin, Impact, CJ and Partnerize), that reference is added to the link, and the network later tells us about sales made after the click: the order value, our commission, the product bought and whether the sale was approved. We use this to see which deals and stores are useful to visitors. Networks don't send us your name, contact details, payment details or anything else that identifies you, so this sale data isn't linked to you.

Cookies

GamePunk doesn't set any cookies for visitors.

Third-party services

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request directly to Google's servers when you load a page. That request is subject to Google's own privacy policy, not ours.

Game cover art and metadata are loaded from IGDB, which means your browser makes a request directly to IGDB's servers whenever a game's cover image loads. That request is subject to IGDB's own privacy policy, not ours.

Game, gift card, and subscription listings link out to the store selling that price (such as Steam, Microsoft Store, Amazon UK, ShopTo, GAME, Loaded, Startselect, Joybuy, YuPlay, GamersGate, IndieGala, GameBillet and Zapagames, with more stores being added over time) so you can complete a purchase. Once you click through, you're on that store's site, governed by their privacy policy and terms. The store, and the affiliate network handling the link, may set their own cookies to credit the sale to GamePunk; those are covered by their privacy policies (Awin, Impact, CJ, Partnerize), not ours. Apart from the anonymous sale data described above, GamePunk doesn't see what you do after you leave.

Children's privacy

GamePunk isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If what GamePunk collects or how it works changes, this page will be updated to reflect that.
