How to activate a Steam key

Bought a Steam key from a store like YuPlay, Loaded or GamersGate? You'll get a code by email or on the order page. Here's how to add it to your Steam library. It takes about a minute.

1. Open Steam on your PC and sign in Use the account you want the game on. A key can only be used once.
2. Choose Games, then "Activate a Product on Steam…" It's in the menu bar at the top of the Steam window.
3. Enter your key Type or paste the code (it looks like XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX), then accept the Steam Subscriber Agreement.
4. Install the game It's now in your library. Click Install.

No Steam app to hand? You can also activate a key in a web browser at store.steampowered.com/account/registerkey.

"This product is not available in your region" means the key is for another country. Contact the store you bought it from for a replacement or refund.
